1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LinguaCap, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or meet your jurisdiction's digital consent minimum) and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
LinguaCap is a language-learning application offering:
- Watching YouTube videos with interactive dual-language subtitles
- Tapping words in subtitles for translations, transcriptions, and examples
- Saving vocabulary words and reviewing them via flashcards
- Practicing listening comprehension through dictation exercises
- Browsing educational web content in foreign languages
The service uses YouTube as a learning resource. LinguaCap does not host, modify, or redistribute YouTube videos — all content is accessed through YouTube's standard interface.
3. User Accounts
Accounts may be created via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and must provide accurate information without sharing credentials. Account deletion from Settings is permanent and irreversible.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
LinguaCap offers a free tier and a premium "LinguaCap Pro" tier with unlimited access.
- Billing occurs through Apple's In-App Purchase system exclusively
- Auto-renewal continues unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Cancellation happens via your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions)
- Free trials convert to paid subscriptions upon expiration unless cancelled in time
- Apple handles refund requests per their policies
- Pricing changes are communicated beforehand and apply to subsequent billing cycles
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App unlawfully
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Interfere with the App's operation or our servers
- Use automated tools or scripts to access the App
- Circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Violate YouTube's Terms of Service
6. Intellectual Property
All LinguaCap content, design, code, and trademarks belong to Baursaq or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use. YouTube content remains the property of respective creators and is governed by YouTube's Terms.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- YouTube — video content and subtitles
- Supabase — authentication and data synchronization
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- AI language services — translation and language detection
Your use of third-party services follows their respective terms. Baursaq is not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding:
- Continuous availability or error-free operation
- Accuracy of translation or language processing
- Availability of YouTube content or subtitles
9. Limitation of Liability
Baursaq is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amounts paid by you within the preceding 12 months.
10. Account Termination
Baursaq may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Termination ends your App usage rights immediately. You may self-delete your account at any time via Settings.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Astana, Kazakhstan.
